Government, Regulatory and Legislative Affairs PDF Print

Bevan, Mosca & Giuditta, P.C. has an outstanding Government, Regulatory and Legislative Affairs practice and represents clients in matters pending before various state and local agencies and legislative bodies. We advocate for our clients on a wide range of federal, state and local government issues. With a concentration in Administrative and Regulatory Law, we have achieved success for clients throughout the country by resolving complex regulatory and legislative matters.

We keep our clients apprised fully of legislation introduced in various state legislatures that affects or may affect their business interests. We work with our clients to develop an appropriate response to proposed legislation, including drafting and advocating for amendments, securing passage, or working to defeat various measures. We draft legislation and secure sponsorship for initiatives that address a particular client need or which remedy an existing problem.

Since government action can have a significant impact on business, an effective government affairs strategy is vital to enhancing and maintaining the conditions in which corporate decisions are made. Bevan, Mosca & Giuditta, P.C. has earned a strong reputation representing telecommunications, energy and other utility clients before the Board of Public Utilities, and healthcare providers before the Department of Health and Senior Services. We have extensive experience and have achieved numerous successes in representing clients' interests before the Division of Consumer Affairs, Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Transportation, and other state and federal departments and agencies.

We are often asked to establish trade associations and the operating rules and by-laws which govern those associations by our clients. We provide trade association clients with legal advice and assistance in matters of governance, board members roles and responsibilities, annual convention and trade show negotiations and contract review.

We also assist clients with the formation and governance of Political Action Committees (PACs), and Ongoing Political Committees. Our attorneys have a thorough knowledge of various "pay to play" and regulated industry restrictions and advise clients on compliance issues when bidding on government contracts and participation in the political process at the federal, state and local level.
